Malaysia Tourism Tax: September 1, 2017
With reference to the official statement from the Malaysia Minister of Tourism & Culture, starting from September 1, 2017, hotel guests will be subjected to a Tourism Tax of MYR10 per room per night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which has not been included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check out. Malaysian Nationals and Permanent Residents holding MyPR card are exempted. Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
Compulsory New Year's Eve Gala Dinner: December 31, 2018
On December 31, 2018, there is a compulsory New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner for guests staying at the resort. The price for this special evening, including entertainment, is 1,200 MYR per adult and 260 MYR per child. Please contact the resort for further information.
The hotel is pleased to offer a variety of disability access compliant features, including ramps at all entrance points and elevators. We also provide disabled cubicles in all public restrooms.
Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 18 years or older (with valid identification).
Babysitting/Child Care Policy
We are pleased to offer professional babysitting and child care services at the rate of MYR30 per child per hour (between 7am - 11pm) or MYR50 per child per hour (between 11pm - 7am). Kindly place the request 24 hours in advance. We will strive to meet any requests for babysitting and will also provide the same babysitter whenever possible.
To avoid a cancellation fee, please give the hotel notice of 7 days. Cancellations received within 7 days will incur a charge of one night. No shows will incur a charge of the full amount booked. Additional applicable charges and taxes may be incurred.

Connecting Room Policy
A limited number of rooms with king beds are available, adjacent to twin rooms with similar views. To ensure availability please make your request as early as possible.
Please be advised that all room rates and charges are quoted in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). We do however accept all major currencies. If participating in the First Currency Choice Program, billing is processed in the guest's home currency, and is subject to the exchange rate of the credit card company.
Long pants and proper shoes are required in The Restaurant and The Japanese Restaurant.
Early Arrival Policy
We are pleased to guarantee early arrival subject to room availability. Please make your request as early as possible, to ensure availability.
Extra Bedding Policy
It is our pleasure to offer extra beds and bedding upon request, based upon availability. Please note that a charge of MYR170 will apply.
Please note that gratuities and government tax are not included in any quoted room rates.
Reservations guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking are held until check-out time the day following arrival. For reservations not guaranteed with a form of payment at time of booking, rooms are held until the set cancellation time per the rules of the reservation.
Due to the pungent odor of this tropical fruit, we regret that Durian is not permitted in enclosed areas.
Late Checkout Policy
We are pleased to accommodate late check-outs upon request. In the case of a late check-out before 6pm, an additional half-day rate will apply. For check-outs after 6pm, a full day rate will apply.
While we greatly appreciate our guests' four-legged companions, The Andaman does not accept pets at this time.
All services must be paid for at the time the service is rendered or upon check-out. We are pleased to accept cash or any major credit card.
It is our pleasure to extend the use of our pool exclusively to our hotel guests. There are no lifeguards on duty, though our pool and watersport attendants are trained in CPR and First Aid. We request that children under 16 be accompanied by an adult.
Pork is unavailable in all of our restaurants.
The hotel is manned by 24-hour security and equipped with CCTVs.

Our family of 3 which includes a precocious 4 y.o. spent 5 wonderful nights at the Andaman. Our trip was special from pickup to drop off. We opted for the Bentley for p/u at the airport, I know, a little over the top but how often would you get the opportunity to ride in a Bentley?
We were greeted by Vijay upon check in and from the minute we arrived, he and his team were incredible. Vijay made sure to always say hello whenever he saw us and to check in on our stay. He is one of the nicest and most personable resort/hotel managers that we've ever met. Vijay took an active interest in our comfort which was a step above what most resort/hotel managers have done in the past. I cannot tell you how incredible his service and attention to detail was every day. His smile, relaxed personality and overall demeanor made our stay at the Andaman well worth the trip from New York City.

- Incredible spa treatments, my wife and I both indulged
- Breakfast buffet, great selection of food each and every day
- Smiles from all of the staff when we were walking all over the resort, we felt welcome
- Ants, not sure why they came into our room and/or lingered but it was a very minor nuisance.
Other than the ants the trip was incredible. Not to mention the staff provided us with two small cakes to celebrate my wife's 40th bday and my daughter's 4th bday. Exceptional detail and care which made the trip even more special. I can't say enough great things about the resort, its location, the staff and just the relaxed environment allowed us to really disconnect from our lives and enjoy the beautiful scenery and amenities the Andaman offered. We felt blessed to have stayed at this resort over all the others on the island. We highly recommend this resort to other families with kids.
As a Platinum SPG member I stay anywhere from 50-75+ nights a year in hotels and the service at this resort rivaled the best we've experienced in Asia, the America's and in Europe. Keep up the great work!
